The waiting is the hardest part

August 20, 2016 by Christof Bogacs

So it's been a while.

I could bombard you with a list of whimsical excuses but instead I will just say this; life gets busy and comics take time.

Comics are like 99% waiting. This is a lesson I continue to learn every-time I start a new project and at this point I will probably get it engraved on my tombstone, or alternatively, tattooed on my left butt cheek.

Writing takes time. Editing takes time. Getting feedback takes time. Collaborating with artists takes a whole lot of time....

... And to make the process even slower all of these steps are punctuated by a good ol' helping of procrastination and self loathing.

That's not to say I haven't been working on stuff, it's just that that stuff is talking a bit longer then expected.

And on that note here's a quick round up of what I've got cooking at the moment:

- You know that unnamed Zombie comic I teased last blog post? Well, like the creatures it stars the comic is slowly shambling towards being ready for release. Still a bit of work to go but fingers crossed it will be ready soon. Until then here's some layouts to whet your appetite:

- Got another comic sitting with an artist at the moment. I will keep it pretty vague for now but its six pages long, has a post-apocalyptic flavour to it and features a shirtless wizard.

-And finally I am slowly working on a pitch I am hoping to shop around by publishers next year. Let's hope my tattered sense of self esteem hold ups! YAY COMICS.

Any way nuff' about me.

How you doin'?
