Book an Author Talk or School Visit

Speaking at GenreCon 2026

As one of the few Aussies working full-time in the international comic industry, I love sharing my journey, as well as writing tips, with young readers.

I have spoken at libraries, schools, universities, comic conventions, and writers’ festivals around the country and in the US.

I offer a unique perspective on what working in the highly collaborative medium of comics is like, as well as what it’s like to work on big-name characters like Superman, Batman, and Lex Luthor!

My author talks range from 30 to 60 minutes. I’m comfortable speaking on a wide range of topics, including:

  • My journey to becoming a full-time comic book author and what it’s like working with US publishers from Australia

  • My experiences with childhood OCD, with a focus on my graphic novel ‘Earth to Chris Cleevy.’

  • How to plan your story: beginning, middle, and end

  • The basics of writing and drawing comics

I also run a variety of practical, hands-on workshops, designed for smaller groups. Just contact me with the form below if you want more information!
